Mark Kelbel
Golf Professional and Expert of Hospitality
- Gained his Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising and Communications from Michigan State University, and subsequently, his Master’s Degree in Hospitality Management from Texas Tech University
- Gained 30 years of hospitality experience by acting as the Head Golf Professional at the Broadmoor 5 Star/5 Diamond Resort, where he excelled in leadership, gaining recognition for his vision of recruitment, retention, and training of the world’s finest golf staff
- Was the Lead Golf Instructor for the United States Air Force Academy
- Awardee of the 2015 Strausbaugh Award in the Colorado Section for mentorship and coaching of other golfers, helping to guide 67 Assistant Professionals in becoming Head Professionals throughout the United States
- Named the 2017 Golf Professional of the Year by the Professional Golfers Association, of which he was selected from a pool of 825 PGA Professionals in the Colorado Section
- Serves on various advisory boards for the Professional Golfers Association of America and the Colorado Golfers Association, while simultaneously operating as the Director of the Broadmoor’s Caddie and Leadership Academy
- Founder and Operator of Fearless Golf, a non-profit 501(c)(3) located in Colorado Springs
- Named an Official Community Hero in 2017 for his various contributions to the Colorado Springs community
